I'm honored to share that my Magic Mushroom Necklace has been selected as one of ten finalists featured in CODA Museum’s 2025 exhibition Tangible Time & Wearable Dreams, running from May through August.

This exhibition explores the deeper meaning of jewelry as more than adornment—highlighting it as a vessel of memory, transformation, and imagination. To be included among such visionary creators is a personal milestone and a quiet affirmation that the story behind this piece resonates far beyond its glow.

The Magic Mushroom Necklace was born from a moment of deep transition. After relocating to the Netherlands, I found myself needing to re-root. As a lifelong fungi enthusiast, I turned to the one organism that knows everything about adapting: the mushroom.

Crafted with love, light, and a spark of wild resilience, this glowing necklace became my talisman. It honors my journey—of change, of memory, of finding connection in the unseen. Like mycelium, which forms networks beneath the forest floor, this piece draws invisible lines between past and future, body and earth, spirit and soil.

Being recognized by CODA is not just an award—it’s a reminder that wearable art can carry more than beauty. It can carry belonging.

Visit the exhibition in Apeldoorn until 31/8/25

Presentation of the Magic Mushroom Necklace

The necklaces were displayed on a custom organic stand, grown entirely from a blend of mycelium and hemp.

Designed and cultivated in our experimental lab, each element was shaped to cradle the glowing mushrooms with care. The soft, earthy texture of the material not only complements the spirit of the piece but also deepens its story. Nature presents nature, in perfect harmony.
